Murramarang National Park

Two hours south of Nowra brought us to our first stop, Murramarang. Greeted by a few thousand kangaroos, we settled in to our first night in the van, or 'Zizi' as we've named her. Zizi is short for' Ziziphus', which is a type of lotus (it's a Lotus Freelander) and in Chinese medicine, is believed to 'nourish the heart and calm the spirit'.

Having sweltered through 40 degrees the previous day, our first night temperature fell to just 12 degrees and we had to crack out extra blankets. Thankfully the weather cleared to a beautiful clear morning and the kids enjoyed exploring the rock platforms and beach. We finished the day with a putt putt golf tournament in Batemans Bay.
